Ghana’s capital, Accra, is located on West Africa’s Atlantic coast. Honoring Ghana’s first president, who assisted in bringing the nation to independence, is Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Nkrumah’s mausoleum and a museum detailing his life are also located in the park. The enormous, vibrant market of the city is called Makola Market. Labadi Beach and Kokrobite Beach are popular seaside locations with golden sand and a vibrant nightlife.
